First manufactured in 2004, the Franklin Core is an evolution of twenty years of manufacturing luxury touring caravans. The Core name is now embedded in the caravan industry as one of the premium models, and with Franklin's new timber-free framework, the 2025 range is sure to take the name to new heights.
The Franklin Core is designed for those who simply aren’t willing to compromise on luxury away from home. Available in four different layouts including our famous front and rear club lounge set ups, the Core is a sophisticated, premium caravan offering.
So dedicated to research and development are Franklin Caravans, this caravan is constructed using a lightweight, polyurethane framework. Offering 42x19mm supports, the polyurethane material is 40% lighter than traditional meranti yet allows the flexibility to screw, staple or bolt, much the same as timber. Strategic elements of Aluminium have been introduced.
Franklin Core are renowned for their furniture construction, and the Ascot is the pinnacle of the range. Highlights include the lightweight solid ply cabinetry, metal-sided soft close drawers, concealed overhead catches and adjustable Italian hinges.
A luxury caravan is not complete without the addition of genuine leather upholstery. The Concept Ascot is only finished with real, sustainably sourced leather throughout the seating, bunk ends, magazine racks and bed head.
Powered by Projecta, the Franklin Core features a 200amp lithium battery mounted externally on the chassis, an all-in-one battery management system featuring solar regulator and DC:DC Charger, all monitored by a 7” Projecta screen display at entrance to easily control water, battery and solar requirements.
